Luton Airport Is the Ideal Size and Easy to Get to and Park

Luton airport is appreciably smaller in terms of passenger numbers compared to the other London airports such as Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted and for this reason alone, is a joy to travel from. It also benefits from being ideally located just off junction 10 of the M1 motorway 32 miles north of central London. The M1 motorway is to the west of the airport and the A1 to the east and both connect to the M25 making the airport easily accessible from all points of the compass.
The airport currently caters for around 9 million passengers making it bigger than most other regional airports and so offers many of the facilities to be found at its bigger neighbours but without the crowds of people and streams of queuing cars.
The other advantage is the on airport car parks are far easier to locate because the airport is served by just one terminal with departures on the upper floor and arrivals below.
Indeed the on airport parking offers a surprising number of parking options that are all coloured coded. The short stay Yellow parking is just opposite the terminal within easy walking distance, however, this convenience comes at a price and should only be used for dropping off or week end trips. The Green car parks are mid-priced and are closer to the terminal with more frequent transfers than the cheaper Pink long term car parks.
The Pink car park from time to time offers a supersaver price but the downside is that if you cancel or wish to amend dates there is no refund.
